It is now day 4, and my arm is still sore. This is what happens when you fall. Yes I do sometimes fall...when wheels are under me. This particular fall involved a bicycle. If I was keeping track, I would say it has been 4 times, at least. Here are the stats:
This time I thought I had finally done it. Finally broken my arm trying to catch myself because I couldn't get my retarded right foot unclipped from my pedal. I think I need training wheels again. Something to keep me from breaking my arm one of these days because I can't get my right foot out of my clip-less pedals in time. I had just rolled up to a stop light and had clipped my left foot out. So, left foot was on the ground and butt was off the saddle. Apparently my mind though my right foot was on the ground so I shifted my weight to the right. A bit too far. Down I go with my right arm extended in the Heisman pose. Elbow locked. Not a good scenario. I get out from under my bike and feel like I am going to faint. The first thing someone says..."Is your bike okay!" That is the kind of group I bike with. While I'm sharing my glorious moments. The only time I have ever dropped my motorcycle...it was standing still. The same thing has happened to me on my bicycle at stop signs. I imagine that the cars around me don't have much faith in me being on the road when I'm falling at a dead stop. |
